Mr. Renkel took over the position of Sales Director in October 2011. His focus was on expanding the branch network, the sales structure, and employee recruitment and development. At the end of the 2015 financial year, Mr. Renkel was promoted to Managing Director of Sales. In 2017, he then assumed the sole role of Managing Director.
In September 2015, Mr. Kümetepe took over the position of Regional Manager South at Pfando. He coordinated all sales-related matters for the six branches in southern Germany and developed his team into the most successful in the company. Since April 2016, Mr. Kümetepe has held the position of Sales Director and has since been responsible for the entire sales area with five departments and more than 80 employees.
In August 2017, Mr. Tomaschewski took over the management of financial accounting. His focus was on making Pfando fit for the future through new software in financial accounting. After a short break, Mr. Tomaschewski was promoted to Head of Finance in June 2020. Since then, he has been responsible for the entire administration with five departments and 25 employees. In August 2021, Mr. Tomaschewski was granted power of attorney.
Development / History
Pfando was founded in innovative Berlin in November 2010 and has grown organically ever since. To ensure long-term corporate success, the focus was placed on the holistic digitalization of company processes right from the start.
Since 2010, the digitalization process has been optimized by, among other things, further developing our own CRM system and our customer app. With the help of this CRM system, we are able to centrally control all processes in our Germany-wide locations in order to combine the classic branch structure with modern digital efficiency.
Through our nationwide locations with trained employees, our unique selling point is that our customers receive cash within 60 minutes and can continue to use the vehicle as usual. Customer proximity plays an important role here, which we always guarantee by expanding our branch structure.
To ensure that the awareness of our product continuously increases, we have concentrated our marketing activities in cooperation with competent partners on the areas of "Digital and TV". In addition, we support our employees and develop them on an ongoing basis in order to meet the requirements of the market at all times.

Auch im Jahr 2025 schreitet die mittlerweile internationale Expansion weiter voran: ab sofort begrüßen wir unsere Kunden aus der Schweiz in unseren neu eröffneten Standorten in Zürich, Bern, Basel und Genf.
Mit der Filiale in Berlin-Lichtenberg wurde das Filialnetz in der deutschen Hauptstadt auf mittlerweile 3 Standorte erweitert.
Mit dem Vertragsmodell cash & drive FLEX erweitert die Pfando Unternehmensgruppe ihr Produktportfolio für Auszahlungsvolumen bis 2.000€. Neben größtmöglicher Flexibilität durch kürzere Laufzeiten profitieren unsere Kunden wie gewohnt von konkurrenzlos schneller Liquidität innerhalb von 60 Minuten.
Pfando now also in Switzerland: since January 2025, we have also been offering liquidity with consistent mobility for our Swiss customers. The opening of the branch in Büsingen am Hochrhein marked the start of the Europe-wide expansion.
Especially in economically challenging times, it is all the more important to support the weakest in society: this year, too, the Pfando Group and its employees donated a mid-five-figure sum to, among others, ARCHE Berlin, the Kinderherz Foundation, the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk and various animal shelters.
Another milestone has been reached: with the opening of the branch in Bonn, the 50th location in Germany has been opened. Through greater customer proximity, we will also ensure in the future that our customers are supplied with short-term liquidity even faster and more easily throughout Germany.
With our recently opened branches in Hamburg East, Lübeck and Paderborn, we are presenting our newly developed branch concept for even greater well-being to our customers for the first time. In addition to new colors and high-quality woods, you can expect a pleasant lounge atmosphere. We look forward to your visit!
In January 2024, Pfando fielded a team at the Celebrity Darts World Championship for the 4th time. With Jürgen Milski and world champion Luke Humphries, we were once again strongly positioned in 2024.
At Pfando, social commitment has been a high priority for years. In 2023, Pfando, together with its employees, is donating a mid-five-figure sum to charitable organizations such as ARCHE Berlin, Stiftung Kinderherz, Jose Carreras Stiftung and the Franziskaner Treff.
After broadcasting more than 60,000 TV spots in the past 3 years, it was time for a new advertising campaign: the spots “Junge” and “Schwiegermutter”, produced in Hamburg with Lothar Matthäus, represent the development and quality standards of our company.
At Pfando, the focus is on the customer – after three years, we are presenting an optimized website that reflects the progress of time.
The year 2023 is all about further expansion: from March, we are pleased to welcome our customers to our newly opened locations in Ulm, Münster and Dresden.
After a three-year, pandemic-related break, the time had finally come again – our Pfando.de team with Bülent Ceylan and Gerwyn Price confidently reached the final and became runner-up at the Celebrity Darts World Championship 2023!
Social commitment and social responsibility play an even greater role, especially in economically challenging times. In 2022, Pfando donated over €60,000 to charitable organizations such as Arche and Stiftung Kinderherz.
In its judgments, the 8th Senate decided,
that there is no violation of § 34 Para. 4 GewO and therefore no violation of the prohibition of repurchase trading. The highest German civil court
has thus answered this central and long-disputed legal question and thus created legal certainty for the future.
With our new location in Rostock, we are now also on site for our customers on the Baltic Sea coast.
Pfando is helping and donating another €26,500 to Arche to ensure the supply of food and material goods to refugee families from Ukraine.
Pfando continues to expand its branch network and now has a branch in Karlsruhe.
In addition to the company donation of over €60,000 to Arche and around €6,000 to the Kinderherz Foundation, the generous donation from Pfando employees enabled around €4,500 to be donated to the Bärenfamilie and Franziskustreff social facilities.
To convince strategic partners and potential new employees of our company, we produced a new image video. The content focuses on our unique success story, as well as our values and visions for the future.
Customer satisfaction is our top priority. For this reason, we had our processes for dealing with customers checked by TÜV Rheinland. We are proud to be able to bear the “tested service quality” certificate from now on. Through annual audits, we will continue to develop our processes in the future.
At Pfando, we are constantly working to meet the needs of our customers. With this in mind, we have optimized our existing homepage to be more customer-oriented.

The new Pfando app is now available free of charge in the App Store. Thanks to the app, our customers can easily and quickly view their contract details and check their bonus points balance. This way, customers are up-to-date and can secure great rewards.
Pfando is particularly committed to aid organizations for socially disadvantaged children this year. Various projects and wishes on the part of the organizations were able to be realized thanks to Pfando.
Among other things, Pfando made it possible for over 1000 children from the Arche Kinderstiftung to have a warm Christmas dinner including gifts.
Just in time for the 10th anniversary, the collaboration with record national player Lothar Matthäus is announced.
Pfando warmly welcomes the honorary captain to its team and looks forward to future collaboration.
A major milestone has been reached: Pfando celebrates its 10th anniversary on November 2nd, 2020, and thanks its team and customers for their loyalty and trust.

Even during the Corona period, we worked hard for our customers: We brought all branches up to the latest standard, we moved to two new locations (Hamburg and Düsseldorf) and will soon be opening further branches in Braunschweig, Mönchengladbach and Saarbrücken! 2020 begins for Pfando with the sponsoring of the Celebrity Darts World Championship 2020 in Bonn! This year, Team Pfando includes model Sarah Harrison and professional darts player Gerwyn Price!
This year, too, we have demonstrated our commitment to social causes: The Pfando team is donating €80,000.00 to various foundations for children in need.
This includes €4,650.00 donated to the Kinderherz Foundation to support optimal treatment and care for children with heart disease.

Pfando continues to grow. We now warmly welcome our customers in Augsburg and Ingolstadt as well.
Through the implementation of a DMS and a signature tool in our IT structure, the digitization in our company is steadily progressing.
After 3 years without opening any new branches, we have decided to open 7 more locations this year due to the high demand and the now great awareness of our company.

At the beginning of 2019, we decided to restructure the marketing department. With TeamEinsNull, we have a new strong partner for TV advertising at our side.
In January 2019, Pfando sponsored the Lily Becker & Peter Wright team at the Pro7 celebrity darts world championship.
With all the success, one thing must not be forgotten: Giving is a virtue! This year, Pfando has jointly donated a total of over €53,000 to, among others, Kinderkrebshilfe Frankfurt and the German Animal Welfare Association.
Our shop concept was implemented for the first time in Cologne. In addition to the very exclusive location, our shops are characterized by the new stylish branch design and the use of very high-quality materials.
Being mobile? No problem with us!
With us, every employee gets a company car on request! Our company car fleet now consists of 25 BMWs.
Our extraordinary growth has required a restructuring of the CRM system, with the help of which we will work even more efficiently.
Our team now consists of over 50 employees. Throughout our entire development, it is our employees who make this growth possible.
Our sales location in Frankfurt am Main is also moving. The organization of the entire sales department has now found a place that offers the necessary technical infrastructure for our steady growth.

Strong development requires strong partners! At the beginning of 2018, we commissioned HAVAS, the world's largest owner-managed advertising agency, to manage a 7-figure marketing budget in order to further increase our brand awareness.

In mid-2017, our head office was relocated to Hohenzollerndamm in Berlin. Here, all administrative employees work with full commitment to ensure the best possible implementation of their tasks.

5 years of Pfando!
Thanks to the entire team, we can look back on an incredible development in the first 5 years! Pfando now has over 17 branches, 40 employees and more than 5,000 satisfied customers.
We are now also personally available for our customers in Hamburg, Leipzig, Mannheim, Bielefeld, Wiesbaden, Düsseldorf, Magdeburg and Dortmund.
Pfando is the first company in the industry to broadcast TV spots on DMAX.
With the opening of branches in Nuremberg, Kassel, Hanover, Cologne and Bremen, we are now personally close to our customers with 10 branches.
For every contract concluded in the future, a donation of one euro will be made to the Stiftung Kinderherz to contribute to the implementation of the foundation's goals. By mid-2019, €29,581 has already been collected in this way.
Since 2012, with our branches in Munich and Stuttgart, we are now easily accessible for our customers in the south of Germany.
